Calif. Man Charged With Murder In Fatal 2020 Brooklyn Shooting

BROOKLYN, NY – A California man has been charged in connection with a fatal Brooklyn shooting that took place in April.

Dashawn Garland, 28, of Inglewood, CA, was arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, NYPD announced Saturday.

Just before 9 a.m. on April 19, 2020, police responded to Pennsylvania Avenue and Linden Boulevard for reports that a man had been shot.

When they arrived, they discovered Michael Ingram, 33 of East Orange, NJ, had been shot in the chest. Ingram was transported to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
