Set Sail on a Beer and Brunch Cruise

Free-flowing mimosas and sangria were offered to moms back in May, and now, tour company Hornblower is offering a Hudson river beer brunch cruise for Dad, setting sail from Pier 40, located at 353 West St. in Greenwich Village at noon. Treat him to free-flowing beer, a bountiful buffet and a live jazz band. The two-hour cruise offers reserved seating, and online ticket purchase is available .


Take a Tour at Citi Field and Yankee Stadium

Whether he roots for the Yankees or the Mets, baseball is a winning choice for Father’s Day. Stadium tours are available at Citi Field in Queens’ Flushing Meadows-Corona Park neighborhood and at Yankee Stadium in the Concourse section of the Bronx.

At Citi Field, adult tickets are $9, $6 for children 12 years old and younger, $6 for seniors and free for season ticket holders. Tours are also available at Yankee Stadium.


Explore the Egg Rolls, Egg Creams & Empanadas Festival



New York City dads are invited to immerse themselves in the cultural delights of the Chinese, Puerto Rican and Jewish communities of Manhattan’s Chinatown and the Lower East Side at the Egg Rolls, Egg Creams and Empanadas Festival and block party on June 18. Peking Opera performers and klezmer bands are set to take the outdoor stage and free language lessons, Mahjong and how-to presentations on preparing empanadas, Chinese dumplings and kreplach and challah bread are also on the itinerary.

The festival will be held at 12 Eldridge St., between Canal and Division Streets, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is completely free to attend.


Go Kayaking on the Hudson



For some strength-gaining, relationship-building one-on-one time with Dad, take to the water for a 20-minute free kayaking session at Hudson River Park on Pier 26 in Tribeca. The Downtown Boathouse is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to providing free, public access to the harbor.


Attend a Father’s Day Glass Workshop



Brooklyn Glass offers an alternative to “The World’s Best Dad” mug this year with a Father’s Day glass workshop. One-on-one sessions with talented glassblowers will teach attendees how to craft a custom beer mug that dad can toast with later in the day. Go to “Brunch, Baby, Brunch” at Schimanski


Williamsburg nightclub Schimanski recently announced its Father’s Day Brunch, Baby, Brunch event, happenings June 18 from noon to 4 p.m. Open to children and their dads, the casual, kid-friendly celebration will feature a live DJ spinning a mix of kiddie tunes, arts and crafts, toy favor giveaways and stroller parking.
