My first stop is the Boxed Water Company.
"Here, take two for the way!" he says, "it's so important to stay hydrated!"
So, true! It's a hot and humid day in New York City.
"I'm going to the Bronx later today taking photos at a festival. I need all the hydration I can get!"

5:30 p.m.
"I heard you talking about the Bronx." she says "We are actually producing our Sustainable Snacks in the Bronx and creating jobs."
I taste the Spicy Cherry Almonds flavor and the Cranberry Walnuts. Really good!
"They have no refined sugar in it. It's all berries, nuts and maple syrup."
The snacks can be found at sustainablesnacks.co.

5:34 p.m.
"We are offering surfboard making workshops in Amagansett!" he says.
"Do you also teach how to surf?"
"No, but when you make your own surfboard, you are for sure motivated to learn how to use it!"

5:36 p.m.
"We are helping children in Uganda," says Amy from the charity Lend A Hand Uganda lahu-usa.org.

5:38 p.m.
The atmosphere.

5:39 p.m.
"Do you want to taste the vegan or the traditional curry sauce?"
I start with the vegan choice, and it's incredible.
"I like the traditional a little better, it has even richer flavor," she says.
She is right. I'm hooked.
"How long does it stay fresh?" I ask.
"If you put it in the refrigerator you can use it for a year. It doesn't go bad."
The Malaysian style sauces Mamalams @mamalams can be found in local stores like the Brooklyn Harvest Market or on the website http://www.mamalams.com.

5:42 p.m.
I meet Carmen, the dessert crafter from ockatreats.com.
"We sold so much today!" she says.
I try her chocolate and avocado mousse. Very tasty.
"Avocado and chocolate, that's so smart!" someone says,"the avocado adds the creamy texture!"
