This burger joint opened June 2 on 16th Street and Prospect Park West. The 125-square-foot space serves burgers, fries and milkshakes for delivery and carry-out only, but owner Jason Cicu hopes to install a couple of outdoor tables on the sidewalk. Cicu, a Turkish native who used to be a partner at Brooklyn Pita, opened 212 Burgers with his wife and cousin. The new location is open from noon until 3 a.m.


Street Taco



Neighborhood: Gramercy

Address: 358 Third Ave.

No two breakfast sandwiches are created equal — and that’s exactly the mantra at Street Taco, a new Gramercy restaurant combining original local street artists with Mexican food. From brunch tacos, chilaquiles and paleta mimosas to cherry donuts, goat cheesecake flan and a DIY Bloody Mary bar, Street Taco seeks to carve a tasty niche for itself in the melting pot that is New York City.


Rosalia’s Pizza



Neighborhood: Forest Hills

Address: 103-15 Queens Blvd.

A new pizzeria opened its doors in Forest Hills. Owner Joseph Romano has been in the pizzeria business for more than 20 years and also owns Luzzo's Pizzeria in the East Village, voted home to New York City's best pie in 2014 by Eater. According to Romano, his recipes were handed down in his family from generation to generation, creating traditional pies with homestyle flair.


Little Tong Noodle Shop



Neighborhood: East Village

Address: 62 Spring St.

Little Tong Noodle Shop, open since April, is a 28-seat restaurant led by Chef Simone Tong, a native of Chengdu in China's Sichuan province who has worked in local Michelin-starred restaurants. Per the restaurant’s website, the Little Tong Noodle Shop menu reflects Chef Simone’s passion for rice noodles, her time in China as a youth and a recent research trip across Yunnan province. Her food, the website explains, “aims to transport guests to a place and time in Yunnan.” Dishes are built from combinations of broth, meats, vegetables and house-made condiments such as chill oil and seasonal pickles.


The Gentry



Neighborhood: Williamsburg

Address: 592 Manhattan Ave.

Open since May, The Gentry is a French-Canadian-inspired bistro nestled in the heart of Williamsburg, bringing the best flavors from local and organic farm-to-table ingredients, according to the bistro’s website. Food at The Gentry is made from scratch in an open-style kitchen. The menu features entrees such as lobster pot pie and ratatouille and a long list of poutine variations.
