Photos: West Indian Day Parade Hits Brooklyn
The streets of Brooklyn were thronged with revelers celebrating the culture of the Caribbean with music, food, dancing and feathers.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Brooklynites decked out in feathers and beads gathered in the streets of Crown Heights on Monday to celebrate the annual West Indian Day Parade.
An estimated one million people came to stomp down Eastern Parkway, chow down on spicy Caribbean food, dance to Calypso music and show of their finest feathers.
