Healthy NYC Expo: Brooklyn Edition
Neighborhood:
East New York
What: A free, daylong event “designed to create excitement and engagement around the topic of health care” among New Yorkers, featuring giveaways, free medical screenings, exercise stations, cooking demonstrations, family fun, live jazz and a senior pavilion.
Where: Brooklyn Sports Club, 1540 Van Siclen Ave.
When: Saturday at 10 a.m.

Pig Island 2018
Neighborhood:
Red Hook
What: A daylong pork celebration featuring dishes cooked up by more than a dozen different chefs and restaurants, judged by a panel of celebrity chefs and cooking aficionados. Try your hand — or your mouth — at the rib challenge as you swig down beer, wine and spirits during this local festival.
Where: Erie Basin Park near Beard and Dwight streets
When: The food coma commences Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

The Drop - Old School Dubstep
Neighborhood:
East Williamsburg
What: Former Webster Hall resident DJs Evac Protocol and Alex English will drop tunes all night from classic dubstep artists like Excision, Skrillex, Rusko, Nero, Zeds Dead and Flux Pavilion. Admission is free before midnight with RSVP.
Where: The Knitting Factory, Metropolitan Avenue at Havemeyer Street

A Drinking Game NYC Presents: “Clue” (VHS Series)

Greenpoint
What: A host of actors will perform this film-turned-show for a live audience. Check out the list of buzzwords and phrases before the show. When you hear one, a bell will ring and everyone in the house takes a drink — including the actors.

Wanderlust 108
Neighborhood:
Between Windsor Terrace, Park Slope, Prospect Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
What: “The world’s only mindful triathlon” returns to Brooklyn for a 5K run and walk. A DJ-powered yoga session, guided meditation and other activities will follow. Click here for the full schedule of events.

When: Sunday at 7:30 a.m.

Tarot 101
Neighborhood:
East Williamsburg
What: A beginners’ course on the “mystery and magik” of the 78 cards that make up the “most popular form of divination” in the world, hosted by one of Brooklyn’s “premier” witches, diviners and spiritual workers. Learn about the history of tarot, plus card interpretation, suits and classes, shuffling and more. Ticket holders are encouraged to bring a notebook and their own tarot deck. All who purchase a ticket will receive a 15 percent discount on tarot decks.
