2 Weeks Left to Apply for 27 Affordable Ocean Hill Apts.

OCEAN HILL, BROOKLYN — Applications are now being accepted for 27 affordable apartments at The Henry located at 1676 Broadway and 8 Rockaway Ave. (the same development) in Ocean Hill near the Bushwick border.

A single one-bedroom apartment is renting for $834 per month, and is open to households of one or two people earning between $29,966 and $43,500 annually.

Additionally, 20 two-bedroom apartments will rent for $1,009 per month, for households of 2-4 people making between $36,000 and $54,360 annually; and Six three-bedroom apartments are renting for $1,163 per month, to households of 3-6 people earning between $41,280 and $63,060 annually.

Applications will be accepted until Oct. 25.

An application can be requested by mail by sending a self-addressed envelope to: The Henry Apartments, 87-14 116th Street, Richmond Hill, NY 11418.

The building's amenities include social services for formerly homeless residents and those with special needs, computer work area, community room, bicycle storage, laundry room and onsite security.

Community Board 16 residents will receive preference when filling 40 percent of the units, while municipal employees will receive preference for when filling 5 percent of them.

Those will mobility disabilities will receive 5 percent of the apartments, and those with visual and hearing disabilities will receive 2 percent.
