Bullet Hits School Bus As Man Shot Dead In Brooklyn: Cops

A 32-year-old man was killed during a shooting near Dumont Avenue on Tuesday, where a stray bullet hit a school bus, police said.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A stray bullet hit a school bus Tuesday morning as a man was shot dead near Dumont Avenue, police said.

Officers rushed to the corner of Dumont and Pennsylvania avenues around 8:45 a.m. and found the 32-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen, police said. He was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

One bullet from the shooting hit a nearby school bus, an NYPD spokesperson said. There were no additional injuries from the crossfire, the spokesperson added.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
