41 New Affordable Apartments Available In East New York
The affordable housing lottery for 463 Livonia Ave. is open until Dec. 3, records show.

EAST NEW YORK, NY — More than 40 affordable apartments are up for grabs at a new building in East New York, records show.
The affordable housing lottery launched earlier this month for 41 income-restricted apartments at the seven-story 463 the Livonia Ave., records show. Below-market-rate rents in the newly constructed development range from $590 for a one-bedroom apartment to $1,449 for a three-bedroom, records show.
The lottery apartments will go to households with income as low as $22,800 for a household of one, and as high as $79,440 for seven-person household.

There are 21 one-bedroom apartments available in the affordable-housing lottery, 18 two-bedrooms and two three-bedrooms. In total, there will be 57 rental apartments in the building, Department of Building records show.
Half of the apartments will go to residents of Brooklyn Community Board 5, in accordance the Department of Housing Preservation and Development's longstanding community preference policy.

The 74-foot-tall building is part of nearly 280-unit Livonia Commons project in East New York, according to Brownstoner, which first reported on the opening of the lottery.
The lottery for the apartments opened on Oct. 3, and the deadline to apply for an apartment at 463 Livonia Ave. is Dec. 3, according to HPD. See the full breakdown of the income requirements for the apartments in the building here.
