Alastasia Bryan Murder: Keon Richmond, Her Ex-Boyfriend, Arrested And Charged

After more than 2 months, cops arrested Richmond for Bryan's murder. He was already in jail for setting an ex-girlfriend's car on fire.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Cops on Thursday arrested 35-year-old Keon Richmond in connection with the execution-style murder of Alastasia Bryan, his ex-girlfriend and former city corrections officer, the NYPD said. Richmond had already been in jail for more than a month; cops arrested him in December for setting another girlfriend's car on fire, allegedly with the help of another ex-girlfriend, in East New York on Oct. 13. Richmond was held without bail in December in connection with the car fire while police continued to investigate Bryan's murder.

Bryan, 25, was found dead in her car, shot to death by Richmond, near East 73rd Street and Avenue L on Dec. 4 in the Bergen Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, cops said. She had gunshot wounds in her head and torso from being shot from outside the driver's side window five times, according to the NYPD.

Richmond was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm, police said. He was scheduled for arraignment on Friday, according to a representative from the Brooklyn District Attorney's office.
