Woman Charged in Street Murder of Brownsville Mom in Front of Baby (Updated)
Cops have arrested and charged the woman who they say stabbed a Brownsville mother to death while the victim pushed her baby in a stroller.
UPDATE, Wednesday, Sept. 14: Brownsville resident Shenia C Williams, 20, who lives on Saratoga Avenue near Newport Street, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon on Tuesday night, according to the NYPD. The murder victim has been identified as Joanna Beauzier, 22, of the Brownsville Houses.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A brutal stabbing left a 22-year-old mother dead on the street in front of her 9-month-old baby boy early Tuesday morning in Brownsville, according to the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

Police said they responded to a "dispute with a knife" in front of 531 Bristol St. just before 1 a.m.
Shortly after cops arrived, they said they found a woman with a stab wound to the chest in front of 120 Lott Ave.

According to the New York Daily News, the victim had been pushing her 9-month-old in a baby stroller and arguing with her attacker in the moments before the fatal stabbing.
The young mother was transported by emergency responders to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The baby was not harmed in the attack, according to the NYPD.
As of Tuesday morning, no arrests had been made, and the police investigation was ongoing.
