Cops Seek East NY Man Who Threatened To Murder Woman With Knife

According to police, 69-year-old Edward Washington threw a woman on her bed, put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Cops are looking for a man they say put a knife to a woman's throat in East New York and threatened to kill her, they said.

According to police, on May 30, 2016, 69-year-old Edward Washington pushed his way into the woman's apartment and forcibly threw her on the bed, put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. Washington then left, and there were no further injuries reported, cops said. The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. around Eldert Lane and Blake Avenue, police said.

Washington is described as black, 5-foot-10-inches tall and 170 pounds. He has brown eyes, a dark complexion and short, black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, red jacket and black sneakers.
