East New York Attacker Hits Random Man in Face With Metal Object: NYPD
The Dumont Avenue assault occurred in the early morning and left one man hospitalized.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN – Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly hit a man in the face with a metal object near the corner of Dumont and Pennsylvania avenues on Monday, Oct. 24, leaving the victim hospitalized.
Around 2:30 a.m. in front of 666 Dumont Ave., authorities say the suspect struck the 35-year-old victim with the unknown metal object before fleeing the location. Police have released a video of the suspect below.
Medical personnel took the victim to Brookdale Hospital where he was treated for injuries and released, according to police, but the suspect remains at large. Authorities have described the man as having brown eyes and curly black hair and he was last seen in a hoodie, jeans and sneakers.
