East New York Drive-By Shooting: Suspect Wanted

Cops are looking for a man who allegedly fired shots from a gold Honda minivan, hitting two people, on Wednesday afternoon.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Cops are looking for a man in connection with a drive-by shooting in East New York on Wednesday afternoon, they said. At 1:54 p.m., the suspect stopped his gold Honda minivan in front of 485 Hendrix St., police said. He fired shots from the van, hitting a 25-year-old woman in the left calf and a 23-year-old man in his left arm, according to police.

Both victims were taken to Brookdale Hospital by emergency responders, and they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, cops said.

The van was last seen driving southbound on Hendrix Street, according to the NYPD.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the van and is asking anyone with information about the incident to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
