East New York To Get Pair Of 4-Story Family Apartment Buildings
1543 East New York Ave., a site of a former nursing home, will soon have 8 family units, according to city records.
EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Two four-story residential buildings are set to be built where the old Liberty Nursing Home used to be and was demolished in 2008, according to city records.
Each building, to be designed by Michael Avramides' architecture firm, will have eight apartments, each 913 square feet, according to plans filed with the Department of Buildings by K Builders Inc. The units' size indicates they will probably be family units.
The 5,296-square-foot site at 1543 East New York Ave. is currently vacant.
