Erratic Driver Hits Cop After Getting Pulled Over In BK, Cops Say
A car "driving erratically" in East New York got pulled over, hit the cop, crashed into a second car and then drove away, police said.
EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — An erratic driver in Brooklyn got stopped by police, but ended up crashing into two people, including the cop who pulled them over, and driving away, police said.
An officer patrolling in East New York on Wednesday night noticed a black Chevy Suburban "driving erratically" and running multiple stop signs near Georgia Avenue and Fulton Street, an NYPD spokesperson said.
But when he pulled the car over, the driver instead backed up and hit the officer, sending the cop to the hospital, the spokesperson said. The officer was treated and released.

The erratic driver, who police said had a New Jersey license plate, briefly jumped the curb as they drove away, the spokesperson said. They would end up hitting another car near Jamaica and Pennsylvania avenues as they drove from the crash, police said.
The 27-year-old woman in the car that the drive hit refused medical attention at the seen, the spokesperson said.

Police are still looking for the erratic driver and have not made any arrests yet, the spokesperson said.
