Fire Breaks Out In Empty East New York Home, FDNY Says
The two-story house burst into flames early Thursday morning, the fire department says.

EAST NEW YORK, NY — A fire broke out Thursday morning in an empty East New York home, the fire department says.
The two-story vacant private house burst into flames at 6:47 a.m. and extended into the building next to it, which is also empty, according to FDNY. Nobody was injured in the second-alarm fire and the flames were put out by just before 8:30 a.m., according to the fire department.
The FDNY says 106 firefighters rushed to the scene, and that the cause of the fire is under investigation. Medics are treating one firefighter for injuries, according to FDNY.
