Late Tuesday Shooting Kills 22-Year-Old man in Brownsville: NYPD
A 22-year-old man was shot dead late Tuesday night on Saint Marks Street in Ocean Hill - Brownsville, according to the NYPD.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A 22-year-old man was found dead in the Ocean Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn on the night of Tuesday Sept. 3, the victim of multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and left arm, police said.
A 911 call to police at approximately 11:23 p.m. reported the man's body across from 1585 Saint Marks St. in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.
Responding officers found the unnamed victim unconscious and unresponsive with multiple gunshots wounds. Medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing and is being treated as a homicide; no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting, police said.
The shooting took place in the NYPD's 73rd Precinct, which patrols the Ocean Hill - Brownsville area of Brooklyn. According to official police statistics, through Aug. 28, shooting incidences in the 73rd were down 30 percent and shooting victims down 35 percent compared to the same period last year.
