Hit-And-Run Driver Critically Injures Man In Cypress Hills: Cops

Police say the victim was struck by the driver of a dark Nissan SUV, according to police.

CYPRESS HILLS, NY — A man was critically injured early Sunday morning by a driver who fled the scene of the crash.

The hit-and-run, which severely injured a 47-year-old man, took place just after 3 a.m. on Sunday, according to the NYPD. Police say the man, who has not been identified, was attempting to cross North Conduit between Liberty and Crescent streets, where he was struck by a dark Nissan SUV that headed west after the crash. The car has front-end damage, according to ABC7.

The victim was found with head trauma and was taken to Brookdale Hospital, the NYPD says. He is in critical condition.
