Man Mugs 70-Year-Old Woman's In East New York: Police
The senior was hospitalized after the mugger pushed her down and she hit her head on a car, according to police.

EAST NEW YORK, NY — Police are looking for a man who robbed and injured an elderly woman in East New York.
The suspect tried to take the victim's purse on Thursday, and when she held on to her purse, the unidentified man pushed her to the ground, according to police. The NYPD says the 70-year-old victim hit her head on a car and hurt her knees after the shove.
After stealing an item from the bag, the suspect fled the scene, the NYPD says. The crime took place at around 12:50 p.m. at 785 Schenck Ave., according to police. Following the incident, the victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was treated for a contusion and bruising, according to police.
