Schedule: Memorial Services for Brooklyn DA Ken Thompson
A wake and funeral for the late Brooklyn District Attorney will be held this weekend at the Christian Cultural Center in East New York.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Memorial services will be held for Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson at an East New York church on Friday and Saturday.
The wake is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 14, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Christian Cultural Center, located at 12020 Flatlands Ave.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon at the same location.

Thompson died at the age of 50 following a battle with cancer. Just a week earlier, he had announced he would be stepping back from his role as district attorney to fight the disease.
The sudden passing of Thompson shocked and saddened his family, friends and colleagues. Many of Thompson's fellow public servants took to social media to remember him:
