Stalled L Train Causes Delays And Packed Platforms, MTA Says
One straphanger said she missed an interview because of delays on the L train Thursday morning.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — An L train with mechanical problems at Bedford Avenue caused delays and serious crowding on platforms that infuriated straphangers Thursday morning.
An L train stalled at the Bedford Avenue subway station at about 9:10 a.m., according to an MTA Tweet.
Service resumed about 40 minutes later but MTA officials warned riders should expect residual delays during their morning commute.

Straphangers — who have repeatedly had their trips delayed by broken switches, smoke conditions, and police investigations — took to Twitter to complain of dangerous conditions and shoddy service.
“If I lose my job for being late can I work for y’all?” @EricWilzon asked.
