Car Slams Into East New York Jerk Chicken Store, FDNY Says

A car jumped the pavement and slammed into Jamaica Jerk Chicken on Sutter Avenue and Pine Street early Tuesday morning, FDNY said.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A car jumped the pavement and slammed into an East New York jerk chicken joint early Tuesday night, video shows.

Emergency responders rushed to Jamaica Jerk House on Sutter Avenue and Pine Street about 3:30 a.m. to find a dark sedan had crashed through the restaurant's window, according to Citizen App video and the FDNY.

One person was taken to Brookdale Hospital in unknown condition, said the FDNY.

Video shows a swarm of firefighters and police investigating the crash before sunrise.

"This is somebody's, like, tragedy," a police officer says. "This a bad day for somebody."
