WATCH: NYPD Officers Give Presents to Brownsville Children and Their Families

One child asked for food and water.

BROWNSVILLE, BROOKLYN — Christmas came early for some children in Brownsville, thanks to a Secret Santa operation by the NYPD. Officers from the Brooklyn North patrol gave some much-appreciated presents to students at P.S. - I.S. 323, a school where police often hosts assemblies and teaches classroom lessons, the NYPD said.

For Christmas, the officers asked the children of P.S. - I.S. 323 to make holiday wish lists. They found that instead of asking for the fanciest new toy, students asked for school supplies, pots and pans for their mothers, and sneakers for their whole family. One student asked for food and water for his mother.

Watch the NYPD officers deliver the Christmas gifts the kids requested to their houses, and try not to cry.
