Woman Dies In East New York Hit-And-Run, Cops Say
Police found a woman lying in the street near Pennsylvania and Atlantic avenues on Saturday after she had been hit by a car, cops said.
EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A woman died early Saturday morning after she was hit in an East New York intersection, police said.
Officers found the woman lying unconscious in the Pennsylvania and Atlantic avenues intersection just after 4:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. She was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad determined that the woman had been walking near the intersection when she was hit by a car that then drove away, police said.

Police did not have details about the type of car and said she was hit before officers arrived. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
