Woman Fights Off Would-Be Rapist In East New York Lot, Cops Say
Police are searching for a man who dragged a woman into an East New York lot and tried to rape her last weekend.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the would-be rapist who pounced on a woman in East New York and tried to assault her in an empty lot.
The man lunged at the 36-year-old woman on the corner of Hinsdale Street and Liberty Avenue about 9:20 a.m. Sunday, police said.
He dragged the woman into a nearby lot and tried to assault her, but she fought him off and he ran away, said police.

Police released a photo of the suspect Wednesday afternoon and described him as a man in his 30s, standing 5-foot 7-inches tall, last seen wearing a Nike sports jacket, white t-shirt, dark shorts and carrying an umbrella.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the NYPD.
