The holiday season is here and no matter where you go, people are celebrating . That holiday feeling is ever so true at Buffalo Center on Delaware Street and on December 9, the facility welcomed a very special guest, six-month old Comet, one of Santa's reindeer.

Buffalo Center Resident Mark Russell Loves Having Comet Around

When baby Comet first walked in, residents and staff couldn't get enough of having an actual reindeer at the Center.

"Everyone swarmed over to hug Comet," said Linda Chase, Recreation Director at Buffalo Center. "It was so nice that Comet took a break from playing reindeer games to come and visit with us," laughs Chase.

Because of his very young age, Comet currently resides at Sun-Dance-Kids Farm on Route 62 in Conewango Valley until he is ready to be with the pack on bigger outings with Santa. This time however, Santa couldn't make it, but he sent the owner of Sun-Dance-Kids Farm, Mike Morton to oversee Comet's visit at Buffalo Center. Santa will be making a visit to see the residents and staff at Buffalo Center on Friday, December 20th at 2:30pm.
