“Freelance business owners have played an important role in sustaining the local economy during the pandemic. They have helped businesses across many sectors make the transition to having their employees work from home, procure PPE, issue public statements related to public health, and help businesses access much-needed resources,” Mayor Brown said. “This week’s events will help those entrepreneurs share best practices, network with each other, and develop innovative ideas as the sectors adapt to the new post- pandemic normal.”

“This year’s theme is incredibly important. All Freelance Business Week organizers agreed that we want to focus on the future rather than the past and current state of the world. It’s more important now than ever to see the future of freelance. We must be more intentional, have a positive impact, and never forget our purpose,” Domon-Pazych said.
