Williamsville-area Allstate employees support Kids Escaping Drugs

Project to beautify treatment center's grounds is one of hundreds of Allstate volunteer-led efforts held across the country

Thirteen Allstate employees and agency owners supported Buffalo-based foundation Kids Escaping Drugs by planting nearly 200 trees at its residential treatment center, Renaissance Campus, on Arbor Day as part of Allstate’s annual Bring Out the Good Month. The program encourages Allstate employees to volunteer for, and donate to, the causes they care about most in their local communities.

“We recognize how each of us gives back may be different, but our mission is the same — to bring out the good,” said Sue Budziszewski, volunteer project co-coordinator, Allstate. “Bring Out the Good Month has special meaning for Allstate employees. We proudly take this time to celebrate the good we do every day to help make our communities stronger, safer and more beautiful.”

The Williamsville Allstate office supports Kids Escaping Drugs in honor of employees who have lost family members to the disease of addiction. When they found out that the organization was in need of manpower to replace hundreds of trees at its 62-bed Renaissance Campus they stepped up to the challenge. Recent construction in the area had decimated the leafy trees that provided its adolescent residents with the sense of privacy and security that is vital to the recovery process.
