2 Pit Bulls Killed After Attacking Bushwick Man
A police officer shot the dogs to death as they attacked a man in his Bushwick basement on Saturday, cops said.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A cop shot two pit bulls to death on Saturday night as they were viciously mauling a man in Bushwick, police said.
Police responded to a 911 call at around 10 p.m. about the dogs attacking the man, 49, in the basement of a building on Hancock Street near Bushwick Avenue, according to the NYPD. An officer shot the attacking dogs to death, cops said.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital suffering from multiple bite wounds to his arms and legs, police said. It wasn't immediately clear to whom the pit bulls belonged.

In February, a 5-year-old boy was attacked by a pit bull in his East New York home, after which he received facial reconstruction surgery.
