3 Affordable Bushwick Apartments Hit NYC Lottery

The two- and three-bedrooms will be up for grabs by lottery on Thursday, city records show.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A batch of affordably priced apartments in Bushwick are slated to hit the housing lottery Thursday, city records show.

Three newly constructed apartments at 22 Melrose Ave. will be available on the NYC Housing Connect website from Feb. 1 until March 19, city records show.

The units — priced at 130 percent the Area Median Income — are available to New Yorkers who meet specific salary requirements.

The two two-bedrooms go for $2,726 a month and are available to households of two to four people, earning between $93,463 and $124,020 a year in total, records show.

The three-bedroom goes for $3,143 a month and is available to households of three to six people, earning between $107,760 and $143,910 a year in total.

The building is one of three Brooklyn buildings offering units through the city’s affordable housing program. Earlier this week, three one-bedrooms that cost $2,253 per month became available in East Williamsburg.

The blue and grey building boasts a laundry room and is less than two blocks away from the Myrtle Avenue J, M, Z train station on Broadway.
