'Affordable' Bushwick 1-Bedroom Costs $2K A Month

The newest "affordable" Bushwick apartments to hit the housing lotto come with income requirements of up to $150,000 a year, records show.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — The latest batch of "affordable" Bushwick apartments to hit the housing lottery cost about $2,000 a month and come with annual income requirements as much as $150,000, city records show.

Three apartments at 100 Himrod St. will become available through NYC Housing Connect on Friday until June 10, but only to New Yorkers earning 130 percent of the area median income, city records show.

A single one-bedroom apartment costs $1,949 a month will be available to households bringing in an annual income between $66,823 and $124,930, according to the online listing.

And two two-bedrooms that cost $2,199 a month will be available to households earning between $75,395 and $149,890 annually, the listing shows.

Building amenities include a laundry room, digital doorman and a rooftop fitted out with a gym, game tables, deck, and cinema, city records show.

Some apartments come with balconies and all apartments feature stainless steel appliances, dishwashers and split unit heating and cooling.

The newly constructed building stands near the corner of Himrod and Central Avenue and is within walking distance of the Central Avenue and Knickerbocker Avenue M train stations.
