ICYMI: Affordable Housing Lottery Opens For Renovated Church Apartments
Twenty affordable apartments at 616 Bushwick Avenue are now up for grabs in a housing lottery that ends May 1.
BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Apartments have become available in a renovated Bushwick church that will carry rents that will not require Brooklynites to choose between a roof over their heads or food in their stomachs.
The 20 affordable units available at 616 Bushwick Avenue first hit New York City’s housing lottery this week, Brownstoner reported Monday.
The Saint Mark Apartments complex — which sits on the corner of Bushwick Avenue and Jefferson Street — is just one block away from the Myrtle Avenue J, M, Z station. There will be one studio, nine single-bedroom and ten two-bedroom apartments coming up for grabs in the 187-year-old space.
