Brooklyn Halloween Events 2019: Here's Where To Party In North BK

Dance parties, horror movie screenings, dogs dressed up in Halloween costumes and more.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Halloween is coming up, so there's a wide array of events to dress up and celebrate the holiday ahead of and on Oct. 31.

Indeed, you don't even have to wait until the weekend before the big day for Halloween gatherings.

On Thursday, Luv Story, at 894 Wyckoff Ave., is showing three horror films and holding a costume party. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. and tickets cost just $10 for the movies and costume party.

On Friday in Greenpoint, Brooklyn Bazar will throw a party blasting different music in three separate rooms .Tickets for the event, held at 150 Greenpoint Ave., are $25. It begins at 10 p.m.

Halloween events are not limited to loud nighttime bashes.

From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, The Evergreens Cemetery at 1629 Bushwick Ave. will host a free family Halloween gathering. Register here.

For a family-friendly evening activity on Saturday, the park's department is screening "Beetlejuice" at 6 p.m. in Bushwick Inlet Park. See more information here.

On Saturday, it'll also be time for the dogs to show off their costumes in Fort Green Park. There, the 21st Annual PUPKin Halloween Costume Contest will take place at 11:30 a.m.

In East Williamsburg, The City Fox Halloween Festival begins Saturday at 9 p.m. The party—featuring a slew of live performers— is at Avant Gardner's 140 Stewart Ave. location. Tickets cost between $60 and $100. See the full lineup here.

A costume contest at Tiltz Sports Bar & Arcade in Bushwick beginning at 9 p.m. is another option for Saturday night. If you buy them in advance, tickets cost $10. The venue is at 942 Flushing Ave.

To close out the weekend, Bushwick's Fine Time, at 84 Central Ave. will be home to an event filled with"music, comedy, drag, burlesque, dancing, cheap drinks and and all sorts of tricks and treats," according to the Eventbrite page. The party, which is free, starts at 9 p.m.

On Oct. 31, the official day of Halloween, Bushwick's The Ledge at 321 Starr St. will have a '70-themed disco party on the venue's roof, according to Free Williamsburg. The party starts at 8 p.m, and it's free.

Also at 8 p.m. on Halloween, Williamsburg's National Sawdust will screen a 1920s silent horror film. After the showing of "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," there will be a dance party at the 80 North 6th Street venue. Tickets for the movie are $25, and $30 if you want to stay afterwards to dance.
