Bushwick Hotel Robber Attacks Employee, Steals $1,000: Police
After a jarring weekend robbery at the Bushwick Hotel, one hotel employee is hospitalized and a suspect is at large.
BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Police are searching for a man who they say stole approximately $1,000 from the Bushwick Hotel and injured a hotel employee in a jarring daytime attack over the weekend.
On Saturday around 11:30 a.m., the suspect kicked open the office door inside the Bushwick Hotel at 171 Bushwick Ave., then used an unknown object to hit a male hotel employee over the head, police said. The employee was later treated at Woodhull Medical Center for a cut to his eye, police said.
The suspect removed about $1,000 in cash from the office before fleeing from the hotel, police said.

Police described the alleged robber as a black man, approximately 30 to 45 years old, standing 6-feet-1-inch tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, an Army shirt, blue jeans and blue sneakers, police said.
