BUSHWICK, NY— Bushwick Open Studios is coming back to Brooklyn this weekend for its 13th consecutive year.

Visual, performance and musical performers will showcase their work in open-to-the-public settings in Bushwick, Bed-Stuy and Williamsburg from Sept. 20 to Sept. 22.

There will be an opening ceremony entitled "Seeking Spaces," from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 936 Madison St., where there will be drinks, music, a live performance and showcase work by about 60 artists.

Tickets cost $15 if you buy them in advance and $25 at the door.

Over the weekend, more than 200 studios will be open for all to see throughout the affair, which is organized by Arts in Bushwick.

Here's a map of the studios that will be displaying artwork on Saturday and Sunday:

The event will come to a close with a Sunday evening event from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Elsewhere, at 500 Johnson Ave. There, tickets to get in will cost $15, or $10 if you buy them in advance.

The first Bushwick Open Studios was organized by a small group of artists in 2006, when 85 open studios displayed their work, after a November 2005 "Bushwick Open Source" event, according to Arts in Bushwick's website.

Since then, the tradition and lived on and grown, with Arts in Bushwick seeking to create an "inclusive artist community."
