Woman Shot In Bushwick Was Apparent Bystander, Police Say
The woman was taken to Wyckoff hospital in stable condition, according to police.
BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A 43-year-old woman was shot in the back on the border of Bushwick and Bed-Stuy on Wednesday afternoon, and she might have been an unintended target, according to police sources. The incident occurred at 1419 Myrtle Ave. at 4:27 p.m., said a spokesperson for the FDNY.
Police sources said that based on "very preliminary" information, the woman appeared to have been an unintended target, but the investigation was ongoing as of Wednesday at 6:10 p.m.
The woman was taken to Wyckoff hospital in stable condition, the NYPD said.
