Bushwick's General Deb's Will Close After Gas Leak: Report
The Sichuan restaurant will shutter less than two years after it opened, Eater reported.
BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN —A new Chinese restaurant in Bushwick is closing its doors.
General Deb’s, a Sichuan spot that opened last year, will close permanently after shutting off its gas after a leak, food publication Eater reported Wednesday. The eatery's co-owner, Kevin Adey, told Eater he doesn't know when the gas could be turned on if they tried to do so, and a restaurant spokesperson said the process to get the gas turned back on could take several weeks or months.
The restaurant— co-owned by the people who own Faro, an Italian restaurant in Bushwick— opened in February 2018.
