BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A 61-year-old man is in critical condition after he lay down in the middle of the street in Brooklyn on Monday and was hit by a car, police said.

The unidentified man was lying near the corner of Cornelia Street and Broadway around 2 a.m. when a dark-colored SUV ran him over, police said.

Cops are now looking for the SUV, which was driven from the scene after the crash.

The injured man was taken to Woodhull Hospital in critical condition, police said. They did not give details about why the man was lying in the street.
