Dungeons And Dragons Show Is Coming To Bushwick
A troupe of Bushwick players will present "that weird game the kids from Stranger Things were playing."

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely Dungeons and Dragons players.
A troupe of Dungeons and Dragons aficionados will produce a live show of the epic game in a Bushwick event space next month.
The role-players will showcase their fantasy board game skills during a one-night performance featuring celebrity guests and a slew of special effects, according to the event organizer, the Notorious DnD.

“We have a lot of things planned for this show,” Notorious DnD wrote in his online plea for funds. “Special celebrity guests, fan submissions, higher quality audio and video recordings, and more!”
The fantasy foursome will recreate a story from Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes, which, according to the Dungeons and Dragons website, tells the story of a wizard traveling worlds peopled with weird monsters.

“For the uninitiated, it's that weird game the kids from Stranger Things were playing in the first episode,” the players explained. “You know, that game that used to get you beat up that everyone thinks is cool now? What a time to be alive! Come join us!”
The show will star Josh Pine as Volatile Mindy, Ian T Dobrowolski as Magical Allen, Frankie Lachapelle as David the Goliath and Josue Lopez as Roman the Undying, according to the group’s Facebook invite.
The troupe hopes this will be the first of many live campaigns to come, and has launched a crowdfunding site on Patreon to support the project. As of Wednesday afternoon, it had raised two dollars.
The event is slated to take place at Alphaville at 140 Wilson Ave. on Aug. 6 at 8 p.m., organizers said.
