BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Goats are coming to Brooklyn and they’re here to do yoga. So start practicing your baaa-asana.
The farm-styled fitness craze that took Oregon, Kentucky and Michigan by storm is coming to a Bushwick yoga studio next month, Greenpointers first reported.
“Goats are animated, curious, intuitive and gentle animals,” organizers from NY Goat Yoga, the group bringing pop-up classes to Brooklyn this spring, wrote on Facebook.

3 Benefits of #BalancingTablePose 1-builds abdominal and lower back strength. And having a #NYGoatYoga goat on your back increases this strength and balance! 2-It warms the body and brings flexibility to the spine, shoulders, and hips, while gently stretching the torso. 3-Because of the balancing challenge, this pose also helps to improve #focus, #coordination, and overall physical equilibrium.

Up Studio at 74 Ingram St. will host NY Goat Yoga’s one-hour classes every Tuesday and Thursday from April 17 until July 12, according to the Evite invitation.
Goat yoga may be healthy for your chakra, but it will very much hurt your wallet: Classes go for $40 a pop.
NY Goat Yoga — an organization based in South New Berlin — also encouraged participants to consider glamping with goats or a goat yoga weekend wedding at their upstate New York farm.
“It is truly as much fun as it sounds.”
