The developer Georgica Green announced the site that formerly housed the Our Lady of Lourdes convent, at 1875 Broadway at 11 and 21 De Sales Place in Bushwick, would become affordable housing in 2012. Finally, more than six years later, the construction is finished, and the lottery can begin.
The former convent was reconstructed to have an extra two floors, from four to six, which created 58 more apartments and more community space on the first floor. The other building at 1875 Broadway has eight stories and 18 apartments, according to city records.
