Where To Watch The Oscars In Brooklyn
Want to dress up like Meryl? Or maybe watch the Oscars where your favorite movie was filmed? Brooklyn has you covered.
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Meryl Streep bursts out of a chocolate eclair. Meryl Streep sits atop a massive piece of avocado toast. Meryl Streep rides a burrito. These glorious images come from the genius mind of Samantha Raye, the Brooklyn artist hosting one of the biggest Oscar watching parties in 2018.
Northern Territory will open its doors to hoards of Meryl-adoring fans for its second annual Oscars Watch Party on Sunday, March 4, the Greenpoint bar announced.
Raye, mastermind behind the Instagram account Taste of Streep, will host the gala at 12 Franklin St. which will feature Streep decor, trivia and chances to win Streep prizes.

Patch, obviously, had some questions, which event organizers were happy to provide:
- Question: What will Taste of Streep prizes be?
- Answer: Last year we had TOS candles and stickers on each of the tables and as gifts! The grand prize was a TOS framed print. It'll be a surprise as to what they are this year….
- Question: Are you encouraging attendees to dress up as both Meryl and food?
- Answer: Not required … but if it happens they'll certainly be the star of the room.
- Question: Will Raye be sporting a Meryl costume?
- Answer: You know, we didn't think of that. Maybe next year ;)
Admission is free — no reservations allowed or required — and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

What: This interactive Oscars party will feature a red carpet and "Alty" awards for the best costumes.

The Skint Hosts A Free Oscars Party At Littlefield
What: Watch the Oscars where a nominated movie was shot. Come to where "The Big Sick" was filmed for Littlefield’s for The Skint’s fourth annual screening party.
When: 6:30 p.m. Sunday

Videology Presents Oscar Night 2018
Neighborhood: Williamsburg
What: Videology will host an Oscar-themed drinking game, and they ask winners have acceptance speeches ready in advance.
When: Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

What: Stand-up comics Kendra Cunningham and Stephen Sheffer will co-host this party and 10 percent draft beer and specialty cocktail sales will be donated to the Times Up Now Legal Defense Fund.

Oscar Night at Brooklyn Winery
Neighborhood: Williamsburg
What: Attendees can drink Brooklyn Winery wine, craft beer, and nibble on snacks while viewing the Oscars.

Seeing Red On The Big Screen
Neighborhood: Park Slope
What: This anti-Oscar party will be hosted by Drunk Education and will benefit RAINN. Mita Jouhari, Nicole Silverberg, and Liza Treyger will talk about how the entertainment industry marginalizes women, people of color, the LGBTQ community and others.
When: Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
