MTV's 'Road Rules' Star Danny Dias Found Dead In Bushwick, Police Say
Reports said Dias "freaked out" after taking LSD and eating mushrooms.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — An MTV reality star was found dead in his Bushwick apartment, police said. Reports claimed his death followed a bad reaction to hallucinogenic drugs.
Former MTV “Road Rules” cast member Danny Dias, 34, was found with cuts on his wrists inside 896 Flushing Ave. near Bushwick Avenue around 5 p.m. Saturday, police said.
A friend of the reality star told police Dias “freaked out” after taking LSD and eating mushrooms on Saturday, then locked himself in his room and stopped responding to calls, according to a TMZ report.

The scared friend called 911 on Monday and emergency responders who forced their way in found Dias dead, according to TMZ.
Dias, best known for his appearance on the MTV series “Road Rules: X-Treme,” was surrounded by hallucinogenic drugs, according to People Magazine.

The Medical Examiner has yet to determine the cause of death but police said no criminality was suspected as of Thursday morning.
Dias, originally from Linden, New Jersey, earned fame when he appeared on season 13 “Road Rules: X-Treme” in 2004 and “Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet 2,” which premiered in 2005.
"We are saddened by the news of Danny Dias' passing," said MTV in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time."
