These Are Brooklyn’s Noisiest Bars

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — More than half of the city's most annoyingly loud bars are in Brooklyn, according to a new study.

Localize.city released a list of New York City's 20 noisiest bars on Thursday and the real estate site's analysts found that 12 are in Brooklyn and nine are in northern Brooklyn.

In order to track which bars annoyed their neighbors most consistently, the study looked at two criteria: how many 311 noise complaints the bar received and exactly how many nights between June 2017 to June 2018 spurred complaints.

Brooklyn Nights at 497 DeKalb Ave. in Bed-Stuy was one of the top offenders on the list with 100 complaints and 66 nights of noise.

Union Pool in Williamsburg racked up 110 noise complaints and irked neighbors on 65 different days.

And a cozy-looking Bushwick pub/flower shop called Cafe Erzulie spurred 58 different noise complaints on a whopping 85 nights, the report found.

Even though almost half of the lists’ noisiest bars were in Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Bushwick and Bed-Stuy, the worst individual offenders were found to be in southern Brooklyn.

Velvet Rope Lounge, a nightclub that brings karaoke, hookah and vodka shots together in Brighton Beach, took the prize for the most noisy nights with complaints lodged on 93 different days.

And Woodlands in Park Slope earned 156 complaints, the highest number in the borough.
