Watch Texas Invade Bushwick In New Movie Trailer

"Bushwick" follows Dave Bautista and Brittany Snow as they battle a Texan militia for the streets of Brooklyn.

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — Texas is coming for you, Bushwick. And it’s mad. That’s the premise of a new movie — succinctly entitled “Bushwick” — about what happens when the southern state secedes from the union and decides, apparently, that Brooklyn’s hippest ‘hood is the place it needs to take.

The narrative follows Stupe, a surly “I don’t want to be a hero” hero played by Dave Bautista of "Guardian of the Galaxy," and Lucy, a hesitant-to-shoot-people Bushwicker played by Brittany Snow of "Pitch Perfect." The pair must battle a massive Texan militia group in an epic fight for the streets of Bushwick.

In the preview released Friday, bullets fly, rockets blare, people catch on fire in the subway. Stupe, the veteran and janitor who must help the neighborhood survive, offers one piece of advice that might come in handy the next time you’re stuck in traffic on Broadway.

“Take it one block at a time.”
