1 Block of 3rd Place Will Be Shut Down for Water Main Work

CARROLL GARDENS, BROOKLYN — Water main work will close a block of 3rd Place to traffic starting Dec. 27.

Water Main & Sewer Contractors Inc. will be working on a water main at 38 3rd Pl. The work is expected to finish by Jan. 2, according to a letter the company sent to Community Board 6, but a company staffer said Friday that it's possible the job could wrap up sooner. (She also clarified that the work will start on the 27th, not the 26th, as the letter states.)

During the duration of the work, 3rd Place will be closed to traffic between Henry Street and Clinton Street.
