Jones: I wanted to be in a helping field and decided that real estate offered that, helping people with their most important investment. My experience spans over 30 years, providing professional help to both buyers and sellers in our local market.

Jones: People love the charm and the hometown feel.


Patch: What are the more common mistakes you’ve seen first-time buyers make?


Jones: I have found that the first-time home buyers in our marketplace are highly informed and make very few mistakes. I’ve also experienced that, as long as their Realtor has a preliminary counseling session with them, mistakes can be avoided.


Patch: How do you maintain a competitive edge?


Jones: I feel that ongoing “fine tuning” of the ever-changing regulations, laws and procedures that guide the professional Realtor to properly represent the public and which shape the real estate industry are of the utmost importance.


Patch: What sets you apart from other Realtors in the Doylestown area?


Jones: I make it all about the client. Every family has their own special needs, and I am dedicated to fulfilling these needs through the constant pursuit of my clients’ satisfaction.


Patch: Describe your most memorable experience.

Jones: I could write a book as to the memorable experiences I have had over my 30+ years bringing buyers and sellers together. I consider it a privilege and an honor to help people at this important juncture in their lives.


Patch: What are three tips you can offer to homeowners seeking to put their house on the market?


Jones: Make sure your home is priced correctly.

Be sure your home has been properly staged as well. This can be as little as rearranging your furniture to as much as bringing in plants, artwork and/or furniture.

Be sure you are represented by a Realtor. All Realtors agree to abide by a code of ethics, to honor their fiduciary relationship with their clients.


Patch: What are the benefits of working with a Realtor?


Jones: A Realtor or real-estate agent knows a home’s value whether buying or selling and should bring with them strong negotiating skills to strike the best possible terms for you.


Patch: What is your outlook for the future?


Jones: Home ownership will continue to be the American Dream, offering not just the pride of ownership but also a sound return on your investment.
