5 Things: Clam Platters at Kittery, Linens on Court, Electric Soul Circus
What you need to know, pre-coffee.

1. Give kudos to Kittery. Earlier this week, Robert Sietsema of the Village Voice, praised the whitewashed seafood restaurant for its clam platter ($19), featuring "entire bivalves (not just strips) fried crisp in flour and cornmeal," the "irregularly cut fries, with little bits of crisp skin here and there," and the "wonderful tartar sauce—its effect enhanced by a substantial wallop of raw garlic." Could the curse of 305 Smith Street finally have lifted? Tell us what you think in the comments.
2. Stock up on fresh linens. Head over to recently opened bed and bath store, Duman Home, located at 213 Court Street, and check out the array of new towels, Votivo candles, amazing patterned blankets and more. Then, treat yo'self!
3. Guffaw with friends. On the third Thursday of every month, comedian and author Bob Powers (Happy Cruelty Day) hosts "Steamboat!" a lineup of the city's best humor writers offering text-based hilarity at Greenlight Bookstore. Some of tonight's funny folks include Mike Lacher and Pete Reynolds. 7:30 p.m. Free.
4. Let your soul glow. Tomorrow tickets go on sale for Electric Soul Circus, a Brooklyn hip-hop soul fest taking place at Barclays Center on May 31, featuring the likes of CeeLo Green, Busta Rhymes, Goodie Mob, Skylar Grey, and more. (Bonus points to anyone who knows what movie I'm referencing in the subhead.)
5. Look for a spot. Alternate side parking is in effect.
