5 Things: Lit Crawl Your Way Through Carroll Gardens
Plus, Brooklyn Half-Marathon! Ferment Fest! Punk films!

As Stefon from Saturday Night Live would say, "This weekend has everything..."
1. Be bookish. Love to read? There are literally 20 literary events taking place in Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens tonight between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. as part of the Brooklyn Lit Crawl. From Singalongs at BookCourt to Japanese readings at Dassara Brooklyn Ramen, you're bound to find something you like. Check out the complete list here.
2. Cheer up! And cheer on your runner friends at the Brooklyn Half-Marathon! It begins at Prospect Park at 7 a.m. and will finish out in Coney Island. Not only is the race inspiring, but it's the perfect excuse to stroll the boardwalk and visit some of the recently opened businesses there, like Grimaldi's Pizza. 3. Stuff your face. Didn't score tickets to GoogaMooga? You can still geek out on fermented foods, such as beer, Kimchi or pickles! Head over to LaunchPad for Ferment Fest, with demos, tastings and music. 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. 721 Franklin Ave., $10 suggested donation.
4. Celebrate Public School Music. The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music's Music Partners 25th Anniversary Concert includes 300 NYC Elementary and Middle School Students, the Park Slope Senior Center Chorus and the Brooklyn Jazz Orchestra performing works in honor of 25 years of music education in NYC schools. 10 Grand Army Plaza, 10 a.m. Free.
5. Punk out. Everything's coming up spiky with chains! If you haven't gotten your fill of mohawks, black leather and Doc Martens, check out the double feature playing at Spectacle Theater in Williamsburg today: Intrepidos Punks and its sequel La Venganza de los Punks. You can thank us later.
